NJRCM Invites and encourages authors to submit only original work (not the duplication/ reduplication of published data) in the broad areas of public health & social sciences research, health management & administration, epidemiology, biostatistics, medical education and related fields.



Publication Ethics and Publication Malpractice Statement(based on Elsevier recommendations and COPE's Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors)
NJRCM is committed to ensuring ethics in publication and quality of articles.
Authors: Authors should present an objective discussion of the significance of research work as well as sufficient detail and references to permit others to replicate the experiments. Fraudulent or knowingly inaccurate statements constitute unethical behavior and are unacceptable. Review articles should also be objective, comprehensive, and accurate accounts of the state of the art. The authors should ensure that their work is entirely original works, and if the work and/or words of others have been used, this has been appropriately acknowledged. Plagiarism in all its forms constitutes unethical publishing behavior and is unacceptable. Submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal concurrently constitutes unethical publishing behavior and is unacceptable. Authors should not submit articles describing essentially the same research to more than one journal. The corresponding author should ensure that there is a full consensus of all co-authors in approving the final version of the paper and its submission for publication.

Plagiarism policy:All submission will be screened for plagiarism using releveant methods and tools. If we find out or receiving complaints during pre-intra or post publication, the publiction will be cancelled. When this happen after publication, the article will be deleted in the data base however the title and author name will be visible. Authors are instructed to provide proper citation, avoid copying the data, statement or other works in their papers.
Policies on ethics Conflict of Interest, Human and animal rights, and Informed Consent: Publication ethics will be followed in entire process of publication.Authors are required to disclose all sources of institutional, private and corporate financial support for their study. Authors are also required to disclose any potential conflict of interest.NJRCM encourages authors submitting clinical trial reports ensure it should be register in competent authority and submit the approval from them.The submitted study has to be supported by the ethics/bioethics committee approval.Informed consent is considered in studies with human subjects. Editors: Editors should evaluate manuscripts exclusively on the basis of their academic merit. An editor must not use unpublished information in the editor's own research without the express written consent of the author. Editors should take reasonable responsive measures when ethical complaints have been presented concerning a submitted manuscript or published paper.

Reviewers: Any manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents. Privileged information or ideas obtained through peer review must be kept confidential and not used for personal advantage. A double blinded peer review process is followed. Reviews should be conducted objectively, and observations should be formulated clearly with supporting arguments, so that authors can use them for improving the paper. Any selected referee who feels unqualified to review the research reported in a manuscript or knows that its prompt review will be impossible should notify the editor and excuse himself from the review process. Reviewers should not consider manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest resulting from competitive, collaborative, or other relationships or connections with any of the authors, companies, or institutions connected to the papers.


Advertising Policy: NJRCM does not accepts advertising and sponsorship for its website, print issues and related e-mail services at this stage.
Guide to the authors: (Please read and follow the instruction properly to make the process fast)
All the articles and letters are submitted by email only. No hard copies are required

Covering Letter and Declaration forms: All the articles should be submitted with covering letter explains about their article and Declaration form and covering letter signed by all the authors.Authors are requested to scan and send the signed document by email.
Articles must be clearly written in English. All the articles should be submitted in MS Word document as single file.Nominal publication fee will be collected for open access facility.

Original articles -2500- 4500
Review articles/Short Article - 2500
Letters to the editor - 750
Book Review - 750

Original Research Articles Must be submitted under the following headings and order.

  1. Title: Short and Running Title of maximum 15 words, Times New Roman font, Bold and font size 14

  2. Name of the authors with affiliation (designation and work address) and contact details of the corresponding authors.

  3. Abstract: It should be structured with sub-heading in continuous manner and not exceeding 300 words with 3 to 5 key words (Font Size: 10)

  4. Text (Times New Roman Font Size 11& 1.15 line spacing): Under the headings such as Introduction, Material and Methods, Results and Discussion. One line spacing between sub-titles and no spacing between paragraphs and no indent space of first line of the paragraph are suggested.Proper justication is important throughout the article. Bullet points is not encouraged. Please do not include Table, Illustrations/Figures in the text and these should be presented towards end of the article.

  8. Tables: Must be self explanatory and numbered according to the order quoted in the text. Short title should be given to the table and it should not duplicate data contained in the text. Tables should be presented after text in Ms.word tables(Care needed when copied from Excel/hidden rows & Columns to be removed) and JPEG format both.Table title with Times New Roman 11 font size(Bold), body with 10 font size and foot note if any 9 font size(Italic) with 1.0 line spacing(all) is preferred.

  9. Illustration/ Figures: Should be precise and clear with good quality. JPEG format is preferrable.

  10. Articles sent without above specification will be summarily rejected


  11. Minimal publication charges applicable for document handling, free web hosting/access etc.but there is no submission charges. There is no special charges for coloured figures or tables.
    For members of COMFA
    Original Research Article:Rs.3000/-(With applicable Taxes)
    Short Article/Review Article/Letter to editor,etc: Rs.2000/-(With applicable Taxes)
    For Non-members
    Document handling charges extra is applicable ranges from Rs.500 to Rs.1500/-
    Editing or correction after proof or upload of paper: Rs. 250/- eachtime towards docuement and website correction


  12. Review Process: Double Blinded Review-All articles sent to two independent reviewers for evaluation one must be from editorial board for coordination. Authors can also recommend some reviwers for their article but finalise the reviewers decided by the chief editor. Article is only accepted by the chief editor based on the recommendations of reviewer. If the paper is not accepted by the first time, the process of resubmission will continue until the paper accepted by the reviewer.

  13. Print Copies: Hard copies will be sent to corresponding authors of current issue only. Soft copy of full issue only will be sent to all members of COMFA in the view of reducing association’s printing and postal cost and improve our environment.

  14. Check list:
    1. Signed Soft copy of Covering Letter,
    2. Signed Soft copy of Declaration form with date and email,
    3.Title page: Full title, Running title, Author names, their affliation& E-Mail, Author's contribution,Word count of abstract & Main text,Ethical approval details, Corresponding author's address and e mail and Type of article- original reseach, short article, editorial, letter to editor etc.
    4. Main text (without author's identifiers): Title, Abstract, Main text , Tables(MS Word or Excel format), charts&figures towards end
    5. Separate attachment of jpeg format of tables and figures as per specification given above with width of 7cm.
